Three first line engines, two brush trucks, two engine tenders, one ladder truck, eight ambulances, five support vehicles, one utility vehicle and two command vehicles.
A volunteer/career department, RRFD employs 48 highly qualified and dedicated individuals, 42 of whom are sworn personnel, and 6 administrative staff.
With an operating budget of $8.8M, the District is financed by property taxes from assessed property valuations, as well as ambulance transport revenues, other various contract service fees and grant funding.
Recognized by the State of Arizona as a special taxing district, RRFD is governed by a 5-person Board of Directors elected by the public. Reporting directly to the Fire Board, the Fire Chief has direct supervision of the three Battalion Chiefs, Fire Marshal, Support Services Supervisor, Administrative Manager and indirect supervision of all other District employees.
